Here are 5 little adventures happening in and around Guildford this September that I recommend checking out.
Stoke Park Railway

Date: 17th September. Time: 2pm-5pm Cost: Free entry (train ride £2)
We recently had a visit to Stock Park Railway and I couldn't recommend it enough. There are a variety of trains to ride on and tickets cost just £2 for 1 go or £5 for 3 rides for over 3's (under 3's are free)
There's a little coffee shop serving snacks and drinks and parking close by.
The railway recently won the Guildford in bloom award and you can see why this beautiful little venue is very clearly kept with lots of love and a little green finger.

Paddle with your Pooch
Paddle boarding with Surrey SUP

Date: Saturday 9th September. Time: 11am-12.30pm Cost: from £25 (dogs free)
My family and I love getting out on the River, we've been considering getting a paddle board for a while, (especially since our kayak died a death) but for us, space is a bit of an issue and the faf of carting it yo the River with a dog and a 2 and a half year old.
We love Surrey SUP because all we have to do is show up at Millmead lock, and they have everything ready and waiting for us. The way is such a beautiful river, with picturesque scenery and wildlife to take in on your leisurely paddle.

Wey River Festival
Date: Saturday 16th September. Time: 11am-8.30pm. Cost: Free
Dapdue Wharf is Right next to Guildford town centre and is such a pretty spot on the Wey, we have enjoyed some of the boat trips from here previously.
We have never been to the festival, but it looks great with something for the whole family, packed with crafts, food and information stands as well as loads for the children to do. At dusk the illuminated pageant takes centre stage, with boats lighting up the river on their way from the town centre to Dapdune.

Guildford Walk Fest

This is not something I have recently discovered and I can't wait to take part.
For the whole of September, Guildford walk fest is in its 17th year, and is a community project, supported by Guildford council. It will be coordinated a huge variety of local walks In and around the Guildford area for anyone to join in for free.
It looks like there are walks for all abilities, so there's something for everyone, whether you fancy a small stroll and a chat or something a little more challenging. You can check out a whole list of organised walks and meeting points on thier website.

Outdoor Theatre Robin Hood
West Horsley Place

Date: 8th September. Time: 6pm-8.30pm. Cost: £17(adult) £10(child)
i came across this a recently, and I'm super gutted not to be able to attend (as I'm away at a festival this weekend), but I have to say it looks fab.
Fun for all the family, you can enjoy this performance in the open air in beautiful surroundings with a picnic tea, to finish off the summer with a bang.
