Let's Explore Stoke Park
Did you know that Stoke Park has a whole list of activities and areas to explore? Let us show you around!

I'm often so surprised when I talk to other people living in the area to hear that they are unaware of how much there is to do at Stoke park. But, to be honest I'm not sure I knew before I had my son.
As well as the huge playing field and green space there are also lots of other beautiful gardens and kids areas
Free Paddling Pool

The free Paddling Pool at Stoke park is an absolute gem for warmer months and is open through spring and summer. It's surrounded by grassy areas with trees, so there's plenty of shade to set up your picnic rug. It can get busy during the holidays, so best to go early morning or early evening if you want to avoid crowds.
Playground

My little one loves the playground at Stoke Park, complete with its helter-skelter style slide and lots of things to balance on and climb. It's both suitable for toddlers and older children and it's right next to the public toilets water filling station which is a win.
Rose and Sound Garden

The rose garden is just one of the many beautiful garden to explore at Stoke Park, next door is also the ornamental garden, and if you go at the right time if year when it's in full bloom it smells amazing. The sweet scent of roses fills the air and takes you through to a little back trail with ethereal instruments for children to explore as well as other sensory sounds and phycadelic wheels. It's a truly charming and unique addition to the park.
Miniature Golf

The mini golf course is open during September and October 10.30am-5pm and is a really cute 18 hole adventure. There are small golf clubs for toddlers and it's pretty buget friendly at £5 for adults and £3.50 for children. Follow the summer holiday, the course is open only at weekends.
Kiosk and Coffee Shop

This little cafe is between the rose garden and pond, and serves a range of hot and cold drinks, and lunch items like chips, burgers and sandwiches. It's relatively reasonably priced for a meal, but it's standard burger van type offering.
There is also a smaller kiosk next to the paddling pool servings just ice-cream and cold drinks.
Model Boat Pond

The model boat pond is a lovely addition to the park, a great place to feed the ducks or sit on a bench and enjoy a picnic. I have yet to sail a model boat on the water, but it's definitely on my bucket list of things to do with my son. Perhaps it's something for us to work on this autumn.
Skate and Bike Park

The skate and bike park is just a few minutes walk from the paddling pool and is open for all to use. There are various size ramps for different capabilities. I've never used this area myself, but there's a possibility my son may like to use this one day, and I have always wanted to get good at roller skating, so maybe now I'm not working, I could give that a go, who knows!
Mini Railway

Last but not least, there is the Stoke Park miniature Railway. This little beaut is located at the opposite end of the park, but is definitely worth a visit. They open to the public a couple of times a month, usually on a weekend and occasionally mid week during the holidays.
